Only 3 Km. away from Cales de Mallorca there is Cala Murada, a zone that became a housing development in the 70’s, yet preserving its surroundings of Mediterranean vegetation.
In the mouth of the des Fangal dried river, there is a little lake with abundant vegetation, separated from the sea by a barrier of sand that makes up the beach of Cala Murada. The place is accessible from the road that links Porto Cristo and Portocolom.
The mouth of des Fangal and it surroundings is the place where the other new Mar Inmobilaria development will be built.
Even if Cala Murada has plenty of services on offer, such as parking area, bus stops, bars, cafes, hotels, deckchairs, canopies, pedal-boats, showers, bathrooms, first-aid post and watch tower, this place is characterised by its tranquillity, its most attractive feature for residents and tourists.
In Cala Murada, 40% of the surface area is a Mediterranean wood. It has a population of only 500 inhabitants, but this also increases considerably during summer.
The residential area has postal service, a library open every Tuesday afternoon, a doctor’s surgery open on Wednesdays, 2 supermarkets open all year round (one of them with a drugstore), restaurants, 2 banks, a hotel, a tennis court, a five-a-side football pitch, a pètanque court, 24-hour teletaxi service, rent-a-cars and a bus stop.
The Mar Inmobilaria plot is located by the five-a-side football pitch and the pètanque court. The church is 500 from the plot, and the closest supermarket and restaurant are 700 m away. The Cala Murada beach is 1 Km. away, and the bus stop, a little further.
